We went to Cheapside Market, a bunch of us. It was enjoyable; the experience, even if the photos were not spectacular (mine anyway). But had Cassava Pone, fresh and warm for the oven (one hopes anyway) found a wonderful Paw-paw (papaya) and a not too bad Trini Pineapple.

Then wended one's way (taking shots all the while) to Independence Square for Dipper Statue climax to the occasion.

Ah well, fotoing is like fishing... Everyday is fotoing day; not everyday is catching day. At least the Pone was good, right Jeremy?

Fortunate enough to be able to attend the re-opening of the world famous Kensington Oval (Cricket Stadium) right here in Barbados. Though yet some finishing touches still need to be completed the renovation and rebuilding is pretty impressive I believe.

For those of you out there in the internet world unfamiliar with the game of Cricket (as all cricket lovers will know) Barbados and the other islands in the Caribbean have come together to host, starting in just about a month's time,
the THIRD LARGEST SPORTING EVENT IN THE WORLD, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007. FYI - Only the Olympics and Soccer's FIFA World Cup are bigger sporting events.

Feature event - a 20/20 match between a team of West Indies Legends, lead by Sir Viv Richards and containing such greats as Gordon Greenidge, Desmond Haynes, Carl Hooper, Richie Richardson, Courtney Walsh and Curtley Ambrose and a World Eleven led by Alec Stewart. The World Eleven won (Just!) making it an throughly exciting game, and just perfect to relaunch one of the most famous Cricket Grounds in the world.

These photos were taken by my rinky-dinky pocket digicam, so not the greatest res, but they give you a sense of the new impressive Kensington.

Andrews Sugar Factory - Where rust is beautiful

The impression of a fall

Every image I have used in this exhibition have been zapped and PSed to extreme. Don't know why. Possibly I was disaappointed with the reality I managed to catch with the camera. Whatever; I played!

Start with the snails. Not Andrews bounty, just my backyard.

Then the camera impression of a fall. At Andrews: a spill on the hill to my embarrassment... Saved the cameras and managed to take a photo as I fell. What do you think of that then?
